Welcome, Myanmar students! Exciting news from Davidson College: they attract a talented applicant pool and admit around 530 students yearly. Thanks to alumni and friends, they offer scholarships to about 4% of the incoming class. Scholarship selection happens in March, before Regular Decision admissions.
Davidson scholarships are renewable for the next three years, as long as you meet GPA and degree requirements, and actively engage in college life.
Competition Scholarships
These are significant annual scholarships for those with exceptional potential. The Davidson Admission Committee spots candidates based on application strength, talents, leadership, and service.
William Holt Terry Scholarship
– Annual award: Full tuition, fees, plus $3,000 special stipend.
– Two awarded in each first-year class.
– Eligibility: Demonstrated leadership in student government, sports, service, etc.
Application Scholarships
If you’re passionate about a field, committed to service, or have arts talents, you might qualify for an Application Scholarship.

– Dobson-Neely Latin Scholarship and James B. Duke Scholarship: January 11, 2023 (Early Decision and Regular Decision applicants).
– Barber Theatre, Cornwell Creative Writing, Music, Pepper Visual Arts Scholarships: Your chosen application plan deadline (Early Decision I – Nov. 15; Early Decision II – Jan. 8; Regular Decision – Jan. 11).
– Bonner Scholars program applications open in spring 2023.

Eligibility
– Chicago public and charter high school graduates with strong records.
– Financial need required.
– Preference for under-represented students, particularly Latinx and Hispanic students.
– School counselors, principals, college access program leaders can nominate up to three candidates.
– The Davidson Admission Committee can nominate strong admission applicants.
